  I was scheduled for a tilt table test. They asked that I bring someone to drive me home. I live alone and that just isn't practical. I called 3 days before my appointment and explained my situation. The nurse said that's fine, they'd just have me sit around until they thought I was good to drive. This appointment requires fasting for 6 to 8 hours before the appointment. Mine was at 1PM. So no eating after 5AM. I go to bed at 9 so nothing until after the appointment, 17 hours. I show up, register and am escorted to the test area. Then they ask for my driver. I have none based on the conversation I had 3 days earlier. They said it puts the hospital at risk for liability and refused to give me the test. First, fasting tests should be scheduled early in the morning. Second, if they require drivers test should be scheduled on weekends when people aren't working. Third, that will be a cold day in hell the hospital doesn't care about what works for the patient. I think I'll find new doctors
